Emblation has been selected as finalists for the British Engineering Excellence Awards for "Small Company of the Year".
These awards demonstrate the quality of engineering design within the UK and provide a benchmark of excellence from which the UK engineering industry can learn from.
Emblation has been shortlisted in recognition of their revolutionary microwave treatment, Swift – the breakthrough treatment for Podiatry and Dermatology. Swift uses microwave energy to create localised heat to destroy cells, and is predominately used within Podiatry clinics for the treatment of verrucae – lesions on the foot caused by the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV).
Since the official launch into the Podiatry market in 2016, over 7000 treatments have been carried out using Swift and the treatment is now available in over 150 clinics throughout the UK.
Emblation CEO Gary Beale will be joining the finalists from a broad scope of categories, ranging from Design Engineer of the Year to Best New Aerospace Product of the Year, at the BEEA luncheon on October 5th at The Honourable Artillery Company, London.
